Mission and objective
EMAT is one of the leading electron microscopy centers in the world and has a vast expertise in both fundamental and applied electron microscopy. The range of instruments for electron microscopy available in the EMAT laboratory is quite extensive and comprises several instruments for various, sometimes very specific, purposes. All these instruments are, for their specific range of applications, available for collaborative or contract research and operated by the researchers and personnel of EMAT. Under certain conditions some of the instruments can also be operated by external well trained operators. The latter procedure is subjected to the explicit agreement of the managing board of EMAT.
