Mission and Objective
The mission of Mechatronika is to provide facilities for design, prototyping and characterization of macro/micro/bio mechatronic systems, thereby serving the needs of researchers working in mechanical, production, materials, electronics, measurement and microsystems engineering fields as well as supporting companies from different manufacturing industries in development of high value-added products. Mechatronika provides access to the comprehensive range of vibration testing tools including POLYTEC laser Doppler vibrometers and holographic interferometry system, which enable full dynamic characterization of both macro- and micro-scale structures including electromechanical testing of MEMS components under controlled vacuum and temperature conditions. RI is equipped with an extensive set of instruments for biomechanical analysis including systems for 3D motion analysis, 3D body part scanning, musculoskeletal ultrasonic diagnostics, EMG/EEG acquisition as well as a range of training equipment, anthropometric devices and sensors. RI also operates several 3D printers for additive manufacturing of polymeric parts using SLS, FDM and Polyjet technologies. Mechatronika specializes in different applications of smart materials and provides access to test equipment for static, dynamic, indentation- and scratch-based characterization of mechanical properties as well as instruments for electrical and rheological measurements.
